8:30 am – General membership meeting
- Welcome – Mark West, President of FEN.
- Laws and Rules – Evaluation, gross immorality, and more. A Florida Department of Education Presentation on the implementation of policy and current issues. Presenters: Dr. Paul O. Burns, Chancellor for the Division of Public Schools and Dr. Sunny Chancy, Deputy Chancellor for Educator Quality.
- School Safety in School Districts. We all seek safer and more secure learning environments for students, teachers, and staff. This session will cover current topics in school, preview session proposals, and information on a new association partnering with districts to advance school safety and mental health. Presenter: John Hunkiar, Executive Director, Florida Association of School Safety Specialists.
- Legislative Update. With just over a week left in the 2024 Legislative Session, this dynamic update will provide you with an update on key policy issues being considered and on the budget being negotiated. Presenters: Dr. Danielle Thomas, Director of Advocacy & Legislative Services, FSBA and Bob Cerra, Chief Executive Officer, Cerra Consulting Group, Inc.
- District Reports: A deep dive and discussion about your district, challenges, settlements, and new issues. Facilitated by the FEN Board of Directors.
